Steve Salter, co-owner / photographer, is a well established, professional photographer and graduate of Mercer University, Macon, Georgia degreed in Biology and Art. Steve served in the graphic arts illustration industry for 15 years prior to beginning portrait photography. He began full-time portrait in 1994 as an apprentice with Jim Daly, who is Savannah’s Premier Photographer. Jim retired with a famed photography legacy known by many generations of Savannahians. Steve’s gratitude for having apprenticed under Jim for eight years, learning photography and customer relations was a priceless lifetime opportunity of aquiring knowledge and ability that can only be learned under the tutorship of a master. Steve’s impressive photographic works grace many of the finest homes and businesses in the United States.
Kathy Daly-Salter, co-owner and daughter of the Dalys’, is the Studio’s accomplished intepretative artist as well as manager of operations, and customer service and support.
Daly and Salter is a family business that originated in the 1960’s (originally owned as Jim Daly / Pollack & Daly Photography). We provide our clients with over 40 years of accumulated experience, high quality professional service and guaranteed product support. We are about capturing quality memories of life for our clients.
The Studio is affiliated with the Florida Professional Photographers Association (FPP), Georgia Professional Photographers Association (GPPA), Southeastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA) , and the Professional Photographers Association of America (PPA).
